Winners and Judges of the 2015 Maccagno Piano Days Festival Competition

Repertoire

Repertoire should include selections from at least two of the following style periods: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary. All works must be memorized with the exception of those written after 1945. Students should aim for a program 15-20 minutes in length.

 Eligibility

All students who are enrolled in the Maccagno Piano Days Festival can participate in this competition.

There will be three categories for the competition:

The Pre-College Division Ages 13-18

the Young Artist Division Ages 19-28

Amateur Division Division Ages 29-85

Prizes

The First Prize Winner in the Young Artist Division will receive a cash prize and a certificate signed by the faculty

The First Prize Winner in the Pre-College Division will receive a cash prize and a certificate signed by the faculty

The First Prize Winner of the Amateur Division will receive a cash prize and a certificate signed by the faculty

Additional Prizes can be awarded at the discretion of the judges

The winners of the Maccagno Piano Festival Competition will be presented in recital at the Auditorium Citta di Maccagno.
